Are there furnished apartments?
Currently, we do not offer furnished apartments.
Are there community events or social activities?
Yes! RM West is located in the River Market area of Kansas City, offering endless diverse social opportunities and activities for all residents.
Is this community pet-friendly?
RM West is pet-friendly. A maximum of 2 pets (dogs and/or cats) are allowed per apartment. We have a paw wash and spa, and off-leash bark park for your dog to enjoy!
What is the guest policy?
Guests may stay up to 7 consecutive days up to twice a month without written approval from management.
Are there storage units or garages available?
Storage units and garages are available for rent. Please visit the office for information about availability and monthly cost.
Are there quiet hours?
We follow the Kansas City quiet hours ordinance, which is in effect from 10 PM to 7 AM. During this time, residents are asked to keep noise to a minimum to ensure a peaceful environment for everyone in the community.
Is there public transportation nearby?
The Downtown KC Streetcar line is located just a half a block away from our community.
How long does the application process take?
The application can take 24-48 hours depending on how quickly we receive all required documents. Our team will keep you informed every step of the way!
Does RM West offer flexible leases?
RM West offers flexible lease terms ranging from 3 to 12 months. Contact the leasing team for more details.
When is rent due? How do I pay rent?
Rent is due on the 1st of each month and can be paid through the Resident Portal.
What can be submitted as a form of income?
For proof of income, we accept W-2s, offer letters, and I-20 forms.
What is Boom?
Build your credit by paying your rent on time! Boom is a service that enables you to build your credit by simply paying your rent on time. This means no loans, no credit cards, and no high-interest rates. Pay your rent on time each month and Boom will take care of the rest. Please let the office know if you have any questions!
Do we need Renter's Insurance?
Our company requires that all residents have $100k liability coverage. For your convenience, we offer a plan to fulfill this requirement. The cost for this plan is $17 per person per month (through 2026). You may waive this coverage if you already have liability insurance through another provider however, you must submit a copy of your policy for review so we can ensure it meets our property requirements. Opting out of plan coverage and submission of an alternative policy must be done within our portal https://portal.confirminsurance.com/s/.
We also offer Personal Contents Coverage (PCON) for $5.50 per person per month (through 2026). Though this is not mandatory, if you would like to waive this coverage you must opt out of the plan within our portal https://hra.confirminsurance.com/ppp-opt-out.
Can I transfer to another apartment?
Absolutely! Please reach out to the leasing office for more details.
How do I renew my lease?
Please contact the office to begin your lease renewal, we have several lease term options to choose from. Thank you for continuing your stay at RM West!
What do I need to do to break my lease?
Life happens and we understand. If you need to break your lease please contact the leasing office for more details.
How do I pay my rent?
Payments can be made online in your resident portal with an electronic check (automated ACH payment) or via credit card. Payments can also be mailed or dropped off in the office via check or certified funds.
How do I put in a maintenance request?
You can place a service request through the Resident Portal app. Download the RP (Resident Portal) App on Apple or Google Play Stores.
You can also log into your Resident Portal and select MAINTENANCE to submit a service request.
